  • 1.  No Cost Extension Budget

We are wanting to create a no cost extension for our APR grant and I am not sure how to do the budget for it.

Has anyone else done a no cost carryover?  How do you complete the budget for it?

    Hello Sonja,

I was looking at the FAQs and it sounds like you have to budget to your originally approved projects, and you will need to complete a prior approval, but to do that you need to contact your grants management specialist. They should be able to let you know what you need for that prior approval. I included resources from the original application if that should prove helpful.

ARP-UDS+ allowable activities: ARP-UDS+ funding can be used to support UDS+ activities, other ARP activities, or both types of activities. Appendix A of the ARP-UDS+ NOFO (PDF - 292 KB) provides a list of allowable activities, and you may choose to write in other activities that meet the purpose of ARP-UDS+ funding.

SF424-A Budget Information Form (PDF - 131 KB)

Budget Narrative with Personnel Justification Table (if applicable) (PDF - 217 KB)

Equipment List Form (if applicable) (PDF - 169 KB)

Activities Plan Form (PDF - 229 KB)

FAQ. Can a health center request a project period extension for the H8F/L2C awards if more time is needed to complete approved activities? HRSA awarded one-time H8F/L2C funding with a 2-year period of performance. If you need additional time (up to 12 months) to complete your approved project or program-related activities, you must submit a separate Extension Without Funds (no cost extension) prior approval request to HRSA. Extension requests must be made through HRSA's EHBs [i.e., Grants/Grants Folder/Prior Approval] prior to the H8F project period (PP) end date (preferably 60 days prior to PP end date). You may not use this one-time extension to expend unused funds for new or additional project or program-related activities. All extension requests are subject to HRSA approval. Contact your Grants Management Specialist with questions.

    Hope this helps.
